I am the mother of two sweet girls-10 and 8 years old and a busy little man who is 6 years old. My husband and I have made Johnson County our home since 1999. We previously lived in Lawrence for 6 years.

I obtained a Bachelors degree in Microbiology from the University of Kansas, a Childbirth Educators Certification from The Association of Labor Assistants and Childbirth Educators (ALACE) and Lamaze, Birth Doula certification through DONA, Breastfeeding Educator certification from from Lactation Consultant Services, Postpartum Doula training from DONA and The Happiest Baby on the Block certification by Dr. Harvey Karp. I am thrilled to be one of three certified instructors in Kansas City and one of the first in the program! I recently was accepted into DONA International Doula trainer program and will be hosting doula trainings in the near future!

I have a partnership with Women's Health Associates and teach childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care classes for Shawnee Mission Medical Center. I have done births at all Johnson County hospitals.

I am a DONA International State Representative for Kansas. I am looking forward to creating a partnership between doulas, families, practioners, and DONA.

I am a member of Doulas of Greater Kansas City. I attend a variety of conferences and meetings to stay current on recent developments regarding pregnancy and birth, as well as subscribe to a variety of professional journals.

I am available to give lectures, informational speeches and seminars to interested clubs, organizations, etc. I have done seminars for Babies R Us. Please contact me for more information.
